Secretary General

Alexi is a Journalism major at Concordia University, pursuing the craft he has always been fond of. A native of Montreal, Alexi started his Model UN career four years ago at Dawson College. He went on to serve as President of the club during his second year of CEGEP. The following year, he served as the Director of Administration at the Montreal United Nations Conference (MUNC). This year, Alexi is more than thrilled to embark on the newest and most challenging task of his Model UN career, serving as Secretary General for ConMUN 2021. Despite being heavily invested in the organizational side of Model UN, Alexi is also currently a proud member of Concordia’s External Delegation Team (CED). He has attended conferences across the North American and Canadian circuit and is eager to bring that experience to ConMUN. Outside of Model UN, Alexi loves the great outdoors. He is an avid fisherman and will never miss an opportunity to explore a new lake. His other passion is sports. He has been playing hockey, football, tennis, and much more since he was young.



Under Secretary General of Finance

Alex is in his second year attending Concordia University, completing a double-major in Community, Public Affairs & Policy Studies and Political Science. He has been attending Model UN conferences since starting CEGEP in 2017 and has fallen in love with the craft. Alex has attended over a dozen conferences as a delegate, including ones in Panama City, Panama and Madrid, Spain. He has recently made the transition to chair, having the opportunity to do so in eight conferences previously. This will be his second time on a secretariat. Outside of MUN, Alex loves to cook, fish, travel around the world, watch and a play a multitude of sports, but most of all, curling!



Under Secretary General of Internal Affairs

Rachel Renaud, a proud native of British-Columbia, is a first-year law student at the University of Ottawa. She currently works as a Student-at-law at the firm Bergman & Associates, further developing her interests in Canada’s bilingual and bijural legal field. Rachel’s Model UN career started during her time as Dawson College. She was selected as a Head Delegate and proudly represented Dawson at many conferences, including McMun and Harvard WorldMUN hosted in Madrid. More recently, Rachel served as the Director of Administration for the Montreal Model United Nations Conference (MUNC) 2020, where she was responsible for organizing the conference logistics. Her vast knowledge, both as a delegate and as a conference organizer, will make her an invaluable asset to the ConMUN team. In her free time, Rachel can be found testing our new espresso blends and taking advantage of the random page function on Wikipedia.



Chargée D'Affaires

Shaina is currently studying Public History, with a minor in Law and Society at Concordia University. She is the Chargée D’affaires for ConMUN 2021, and couldn’t be more excited about it! Shaina first began Model United Nations in high school, where she was head delegate of her team. She has since chaired for committees, and attended numerous conferences in North America as a delegate. Outside of school, work, and Model United Nations, Shaina is a passionate member of Concordia’s student-life community. She also enjoys watching terrible reality television in her spare time. Shaina aspires to make this conference as enjoyable and stimulating as possible for all delegates and staff. ConMUN 2021 will challenge students to enhance their diplomatic and debate skills, delving into complicated topics which shape the world we live in.




David is a fourth year Political Science and History Major at McGill University, this will be his last year in both university and Model United Nations. Having previously served as the Chargée D’Affaires of ConMUN 2020, David is very happy to be taking on the role of Director General at ConMUN 2021. Over the past 9 years David has participated in a variety of Model UN Conferences and Teams. His Model UN journey began in Saudi Arabia, where he travelled with his school MUN Team to conferences across the Middle East and Europe. Since then, David has participated in MUN as a delegate, team organizer, general committee staff, and as a Secretariat member at over 30 conferences. Beyond Model United Nations, David is an active participant in the Latin American community, and works within some equitable causes! ConMUN 2021 will mark David’s last conference, and thus it is a bittersweet moment. Model United Nations has given him several opportunities to meet lifelong friends, to travel the world, and to work on his abilities as a public speaker and coordinator. He truly believes in the power of Model UN, and hopes that every delegate walks away from ConMUN having made a friend and learned something about both the world and themselves!



Under Secretary General of Public Relations

Nikolas Manrique is a second year student at Concordia University, majoring in Political Science and minoring in both Economy and History. A French-American Northern Californian, Nikolas has always loved the beach and warm weather, as well as the food from what he claims to bethe best culinary culture in the world. This is his 5th year in MUN, and he looks forward to continuing his path in diplomacy and politics. He took the role of USG of Public Relations to improve his administrative skills and he cannot wait to see what ConMUN 2021 has to offer. Outside of school and MUN, Nikolas is an avid mountain biker and loves to practice home cooking. He knows that the passionate MUN delegates will push past the difficult circumstances of Covid-19, and will draft resolutions that seek to make the world a better place. You can spot Nikolas shredding down Mont-Royal in the late evenings, blasting away the best collection of Californian hip-hop music.



Under Secretary General of Marketing

Mia Solivo is currently completing her first year at McGill University where she is studying Sociology and Communications. She hopes to study law upon the completion of her Bachelor’s degree. Mia was first exposed to Model UN in 2018 during her first semester attending Dawson college. Over the course of the last three years, she has attended multiple conferences across Canada. In her final year of Cegep, she served as DCMUN’s vice-president of delegate services and was an assistant chair of the San Francisco committee at MUNC 2019. Recently, she has served as Director of Committees at MUNC 2020. Outside of MUN, Mia enjoys driving (a bit too much) as well as binge-watching various sitcoms and cooking competition shows.
