Welcome Letter from our Secretary-General

Dear Delegates, Faculty Advisors, and Friends,

On behalf of our Secretariat, it is an absolute privilege to invite you to the inaugural edition of the Concordia Model United Nations Conference. Our team has been working tirelessly to ensure you experience an unforgettable weekend. Held from March 8th to March 10th 2019 in the beautiful John Molson School of Business, ConMUN will serve as a forum for delegates to engage and deliberate on some of the world’s most pressing issues.

Among these issues, we have chosen to address Freedom of Expression and Tolerance as the guiding theme of our conference. With that in mind, we have carefully crafted our conference’s committees to challenge delegates in expressing what this theme means to them and its global implications in the 21st century. Among this year’s committees, topics will range from the Duties and Rights of Journalism, Social Activism in the NFL and Religious Tolerance in 17th century Britain. In addressing our theme along different timelines and regions, we are confident delegates will develop a greater understanding and appreciation of its value in their everyday lives.

To ensure that your time outside committee is as good as your time in, ConMUN will offer 2 unforgettable social events that will match your needs for networking and celebration. This includes an exclusive gala-night with our name-brand sponsor at Le Windsor and a club-night at the beautiful Le Cinq Club. All in all, you will not be disappointed with all that we have in store for you.

If you have any further questions regarding the conference, please do not hesitate to contact us at delegate@conmun.org. Our team is committed to ensuring that your time with us is one that you will remember fondly for the years to come.

So on behalf of all of us at ConMUN, we look forward to seeing you in March!

Best Regards,
Gabriel Guppy-Garba
