Burning Borders; Addressing the Global Fallout of Wildfires

Record-breaking wildfires have ravaged the world, increasingly becoming a global phenomenon with severe cross-border impacts on air quality, human health, climate change, and ecosystems. From the boreal forests of Canada and Russia, to the Amazon rainforest in South America, the forests of Australia, the wetlands of Southeast Asia, and the savannas of Africa, it is safe to assume one thing: wildfires are no longer just local disasters, they’re a worldwide emergency. Delegates are tasked with the demanding mission to balance sustainable manufacturing, support for affected populations, and managing wildfire prevention.
